Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Metalocker website and its private editorial tools. In this policy, “Metalocker,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of the site.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site or its editorial tools.

Public visitors. Metalocker does not require a public account. Like most hosted websites, our servers and infrastructure providers may process basic request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, timestamps, and error or security events.

Invited contributors and administrators. We process account and identity information needed to operate the private editor, including email address, display name, sign-in provider identifier, access role, account status, hero assignments, sign-in timestamps, and security/audit records connected to editorial actions.

Editorial content. We store content submitted through the editor, its revision history, attribution, review status, and related operational metadata.

• Provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot Metalocker.
• Authenticate invited users and enforce their permissions.
• Save, review, publish, attribute, and audit editorial content.
• Prevent abuse and investigate security or reliability issues.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of Metalocker, its users, and others.

Metalocker uses essential session and security cookies for invited users who sign in to the private editor. These cookies keep a user signed in and help protect restricted features.

Metalocker does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral advertising, or a third-party analytics service. If that changes, this policy and any consent controls required by law will be updated before the new tracking is used.

We use service providers to host the website, store site data, authenticate invited users, and protect or monitor the service. Those providers process information only as needed to perform services for Metalocker and under their own terms and privacy practices.

Pages may request fonts from Google Fonts and thumbnails from YouTube. Those providers may receive technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, when their resources load. Links to services such as YouTube and Statlocker take you to third-party sites whose privacy practices are not controlled by Metalocker.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that operate Metalocker, when an invited user asks us to, in connection with a reorganization of the service, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect rights and safety.

Contributor display names, titles, and approved attribution may be shown publicly with published editorial content. Email addresses, sign-in identifiers, and private account controls are not intended for public display.

We retain account, editorial, revision, and audit information for as long as needed to operate the service, preserve content integrity, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain reasonable backups. Information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no website or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

You can block cookies in your browser, although invited-user sign-in and private editor features may then stop working. Invited users may ask the site administrator to review, correct, disable, or delete their account information, subject to records we need to retain for security, editorial integrity, or legal reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information.

Metalocker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Private editorial accounts are invitation-only.

We may update this policy as Metalocker changes. The date above will be revised when material changes are published.

For a privacy request or question, contact the Metalocker administrator through the official community channel or the same contact method used for your contributor invitation. A dedicated public contact address will be published before general release.
